This comic may have been the pinnacle of my first attempt at online comics. The English version was titled The Dynasty, the Franchise and the Translator. Colin Pine was Yao Ming’s translator during his rookie season.

The first frame is the photo shoot for SLAM magazine. The second frame is the actual magazine cover. The third frame has Colin asking, “What happened to the translator?!”

Through Yao Ming’s agent I was able to get a copy to Yao Ming and Colin Pine. They gave me a phone call to thank me for the comic.

A friend translated the comic into Mandarin which you see above.
